Avengers: Infinity War Spoilers and Everything you need to know

Image
So when Avengers: Infinity War was announced, while most people were wondering which Marvel characters would die at the hand of supervillain Thanos, I was saving all my speculation for the billing block. The movie is an unprecedented team-up of characters that far outstrips even the last two Avengers casts, and it has to construct a plausible credit order for dozens of actors who have become big stars in their own franchises, and aren’t used to being 16th billed. How would Marvel manage it? The answer is deliciously complicated. Let’s do a deep dive into the billing block at the bottom of that Infinity War poster, which has the tricky business of sorting 27 stars and leaving a few notable Marvel heroes out entirely. The first five names in the billing block are the core, OG Avengers: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson. Even within that tried-and-true group of superheroes, though, there are some interesting credit placements. For examp...

PUBG Mobile is live on Android, iOS

Image
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is not an easy game. That’s part of the PUBG appeal, every chicken dinner has to be earned, but it can be a bit intimidating for new players. Well, it seems the newly-released mobile version of PUBG has found a way to ease newbies in bots A lot of players have noticed PUBG Mobile feels easier than the PC or Xbox versions of the game, with many grabbing an elusive chicken dinner on their first game. Well, sorry to rain on your parade, but playing on your iPad hasn’t magically granted you new skills. According to a recent report from The Verge, PUBG Mobile initially fills games with easy-to-kill AI bots, then gradually increases the number of real players as your level goes up. Presumably, you’ll eventually reach a point where you’re playing against 100 human opponents. The PC and Xbox One versions of PUBG don’t use bots. Adding bots is, arguably, a clever way to introduce new, more casual players to PUBG (Twitter is rife with people bragging ab...

List stays in front in Florida as Woods sits seven behind

Image
Luke List shot a four-under par 66 to hold a one-stroke lead at the Honda Classic on Saturday while Tiger Woods' 69 ensured he remained within striking distance. List, the co-leader on Friday, birdied the last after a fantastic bunker shot for a seven-under 203 through three rounds at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. PGA champion Justin Thomas (65) and Webb Simpson (66) were a stroke behind with Britain's Tommy Fleetwood (67) and American Jamie Lovemark (68) another shot adrift. Sweden's Alex Noren also was in the mix as he bounced back from a 75 to shoot 65, a closing eagle boosting him to four-under at 206. Woods, making his third start of the PGA Tour season after a year-long absence following back surgery, birdied his final hole for his first round in the 60s in nearly three years. He was tied for 11th at even par 210 despite two late bogeys. "Even though I shot 69, it was probably the highest score I could have shot today," the 14 times majo...

Khachanov outplays Berdych to reach Marseille final

Image
Russian Karen Khachanov outplayed Czech Tomas Berdych 6-3 6-2 to reach the Marseille Open final on Saturday, setting up a title showdown with Frenchman Lucas Pouille. World number 47 Khachanov was impeccable on serve, saving the meager three break points Berdych had throughout the duel. The 21-year-old has now beaten former world number four Berdych in both their meetings having also prevailed at last year's French Open. Pouille reached his second final of the season after a 6-3 7-6(6) defeat of Belarusian qualifier Ilya Ivashka.

Schwartzman, Verdasco win semis to set up Rio Open final

Argentine Diego Schwartzman beat Nicolas Jarry 7-5 6-2 on Saturday to reach the final of the Rio Open and set up a showdown with Fernando Verdasco after the Spaniard beat Fabio Fognini 6-1 7-5. The semi-final results mean the tournament will have a new winner and give either Schwartzman or Verdasco their first ATP tour title in more than a year. Verdasco, at 34 the oldest of the four semi-finalists, broke Fognini in the first game of the match and then romped through the first set. Italian Fognini, who knocked out home favorite Thomaz Bellucci in the first round, improved in the second set but could not stop Verdasco from breaking in the decisive 12th game to wrap up the match. World number 23 Schwartzman was too good for Chilean Jarry, who was aiming to reach his first ATP final. The Argentine broke early in the first set before closing out the opener and then overran the 22-year-old in the second.

Ohtani erratic in first start for Angels

Japan's Shohei Ohtani had a rough outing in his spring training debut with the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday, giving up a home run and two runs in less than two innings. The right-handed pitcher, who is also a strong hitter and considered a genuine two-way prospect, struck out two and walked one in the erratic start against the Milwaukee Brewers at Tempe, Arizona. But the 23-year-old, who signed with the Angels in December, showed potential with his fastball topping 97 miles per hour. He had been scheduled to pitch two full innings, but left with one out in the second after throwing 31 pitches, 17 of them for strikes. Keon Broxton hit a lead-off home run to open Milwaukee's second innings. Ohtani did not bat and Angels manager Mike Scioscia said he was likely to play as a designated hitter early next week. He is the first player in nearly 100 years to attempt to play in the major leagues as a pitcher and hitter.
