French Artist Re-imagines Game of Thrones as an Anime

While the intro for Game of Thrones is decidedly unique and helps explain the various geographies and houses that ultimately dictate the power struggle, it is admittedly light on showcasing the characters we’ve come to love over the course of seven seasons.

That has all been amended thanks to French animator, Malec, who has reimagined Game of Thrones in an anime format showcasing favorites like Arya, Jon, Daenerys and more which has all been set to a new theme song by KronoMuzik.

The result is something that strikes the perfect balance between fan adoration and what could have been if other producers besides D.B. Weiss and David Benioff had gotten involved.

Game of Thrones is a global phenomenon thanks to its rich story, well-developed cast, political intrigue, and shocking twists. But, what if Game of Thrones was an anime?
We’ll never know, but French artist Malec envisioned what the opening sequence could look like! It’s a wild mix of popular shonen opening tropes, like those found in Bleach and Fairy Tail, but still manages to build the hype that Game of Thrones is known for.
