Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War Official Trailer

Image
If you’re merely a casual fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the arrival of the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War might not seem like a huge deal: After all, pretty much every Marvel movie now feels like an Avengers movie, with the team’s various heroes playing crucial supporting roles in such recent hits as Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok. What began as a winking, post-credits tease in 2008’s Iron Man “I’m here to talk to you about the Avenger initiative” has become the series’ hours-long, deeply threaded mega-narrative, full of Infinity Stones and intra-squad squabbling, and populated by dozens of characters. At this point, even the Watcher needs Wikipedia to keep up. But Infinity War is the MCU’s biggest gambit yet (and, strictly speaking, its only one), the first part of a reckoning/realignment that will eventually lead to Marvel’s much-discussed “Phase 4,” emphasizing a different squad of heroes and villains. With some of the series...

The New Mercedes-Benz A-Class interior revealed

Image
Mercedes has revealed the interior layout and design for its yet-to-debut A-Class. The next Benz A-Class will have a minimalistic cabin with few ‘lines’ as not to ‘clutter’ what Mercedes hopes its customers will see as an “avant-garde” design. Much like the ‘Concept A’ revealed by Mercedes-Benz during the Shanghai Motor Show, the interior is quite a departure from the current generation of Mercedes design. Controls are primarily on the steering wheel, with touch screens taking over from what looks be everything else besides the climate controls. However, a trackpad and some drive mode controls remain on the centre console. ‘Turbine’ A/C vents are the most prominent features to depart from the dash’s surface, aside from the new flat-screen instrument cluster which has no cowl above it. Mercedes-Benz head of interior design Hartmut Sinkwitz says the new A-Class cabin is intended to provide the compact segment with a luxury feel it has been lacking. 2018 Mercedes-Benz A-clas...

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Expecting Second Child

Image
You better grab hold of something or take a seat because Chrissy Teigen just announced she's having a second child. The model took to Instagram to disclose the news technically, Luna spilled the tea. Chrissy Teigen's pregnancy news broke on Nov. 21 with the cutest video. Since Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's daughter, Luna, is a pivotal part of their lives (and our social media accounts) it only makes sense that she told fans the exciting news. In the video posted on the model's Instagram account, Teigen and Luna are cuddling on the couch. Teigen then asks, "Luna, what's in here?" Luna responds with, "Baby!" Teigen is known for her sense of humor on social media (if you don't follow her on Twitter honey, what is you doing?), and didn't disappoint with the caption, "it's john's!" on her baby news. Perhaps the funniest part is John Legend's response. He commented on the picture and said, "Maury will have the fina...

Harley Quinn animated series slated for DC's streaming service

Image
After an appearance in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad last year, DC fan favorite Harley Quinn will be returning to her roots in her own 26-episode animated series. The currently untitled show will be featured exclusively on the digital streaming service DC is launching next year. That makes it the third series announced thus far, alongside the live-action show Titans, and the animated Young Justice: Outsiders. The series will be headed by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey, who previously collaborated on DC’s superhero comedy Powerless. The new Harley Quinn series will be loosely inspired by the current comics, where the character has cut ties with the Joker and is roughing it in Gotham City alongside her bestie Poison Ivy and other familiar DC characters. Over the last four years, Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner have given Quinn a more independent vibe in the comics, far from the character’s origins as the Joker’s sidekick in Batman: The Animated Series. (Conner ac...

Watch: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on Rampage Official Movie Trailer

Image
The trailer for Rampage has landed, and it looks deliciously absurd. Based on the 1986 arcade game, Rampage follows Davis Okoye, a primatologist played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, as he deals with an outbreak of Kong-sized monsters. Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, Silverback Gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend. Players familiar with the original game will be happy to see that all three monsters Lizzie the croc, George the goril...

Razer launches neon green Hammerhead USB-C earbuds

Image
It's hard to find USB-C earbuds despite so many Android phones including Google’s Pixel 2 devices and the Razer Phone making a switch to the new connector while getting rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Fortunately, there’s a new pair of USB-C buds just released called the Razer Hammerhead USB-C. They’re made to match the Razer Phone, but you can easily plug them into any other device that has a USB-C jack. The earbuds are fitted with 10-mm drivers and acoustic chambers to deliver “deep, distortion-free bass,” according to the company. Razer’s earbuds include an in-line remote and mic along a flat cable that should help reduce tangles. They’re also magnetic, so you can snap them together when not in use. The main problem with the earphones is the fact that they're a garish neon green and black color, which fits with the Razer aesthetic favored by gamers and few others. The Razer Hammerhead earbuds come with a custom carry case and are available for $79.99 from the Raz...

Selena Gomez flashes underwear in 2017 American Music Awards

Image
Selena gomez put on a raunchy display at the american music awards 2017 just weeks after undergoing a kidney transplant. The wolves singer, who is reportedly back with ex-boyfriend justin bieber, put on a sizzling display at the popular awards ceremony where she flashed her knickers to the camera as she debuted her new single. The starlet rocked her newly-blonde hairstyle as she launched herself onto the stage in a sexy white gown, thrilling fans with a sexy performance where she rolled around on the ground seductively in front of the nation. The sexy garment was so short, that selena could do nothing to help the slight wardrobe malfunction as she showed the audience her undergarments. She appeared with cuts on her knees and forehead for the theme of the song, which was set after a car crash in a red ford mustang. Just weeks ago, on september 14, selena announced she had undergone a kidney transplant from her best friend. The singer had been laying low for months, ...

Today Will Be Great Night To See Leonid Meteor Shower

Image
The annual Leonid meteor shower is upon us. Look up at the right place in the sky at the right time in the night and you’ll be greeted with magical shooting stars. What am I watching exactly? The Leonid meteor shower is caused when the Earth passes through the debris left behind by Comet Temple-Tuttle. The debris burns up in the sky, because of the friction caused during the process of entering the Earth’s atmosphere. The result is a streak of light aka shooting star lasting less than a second. When can I see it? The meteor shower occurs all through November each year. This year, the peak will be reached early morning before sunrise on Friday (Nov. 17) and Saturday (Nov. 18). And, luckily, there’s no moon to spoil the show. You are likely to see between 10 and 15 shooting stars per hour. Where in the sky should I be looking? The shooting stars should be visible all around the world. If you can, go away from cities to avoid light pollution. If you can’t, find a spo...

The Weeknd Reportedly Hanging With Bella Hadid Following Breakup With Selena Gomez

Image
The Weeknd and Bella Hadid are reportedly “hanging out again.” Just weeks after he split with Selena Gomez, the Toronto singer was spotted leaving Hadid’s NYC apartment Tuesday night. News that the former couple has been spending a lot of time together, but they haven’t rushed to make things official. “Bella and Abel have been in contact since Abel and Selena split, but they are not back together,” the insider explained. “Abel reached out to Bella asking to hang out and catch up, and she decided to see him and see where things go. She knows that if they don't date again, they can at least be good friends.” A source said the Weeknd who dated Hadid for a year up until 2016 has apologized to his ex for his past mistakes. He reportedly told the model he still has feelings for her; however, Hadid is being cautious. “She still loves him but has her guard up. She never really got over him," the source said. “She is not looking to be exclusive with him now, just to be his f...

Firefox’s Quantum Browser Delivers Faster Performance

Image
Mozilla Firefox has been fighting a losing battle against Google Chrome for the past few years. Firefox’s share of the browser market has shrunk dramatically, its once-dominant position chewed down to a minority. All versions of Firefox currently have a 9.1 percent market share, below IE + Edge and Safari. Now, Mozilla has unveiled a new version of their web browser that they hope will rejuvenate their efforts in this area: Firefox Quantum. Mozilla isn’t pulling its PR punches. The organization claims that Firefox Quantum is twice as fast as Firefox from six months ago, built with brand-new technology running native 64-bit, all while using 30 percent less RAM than the competition (read: Chrome). Everything from the UI (now codenamed Photon) to the underlying browser engine (Servo) has been built new, from the ground up. The new engine has been parallelized and should be substantially faster, and Mozilla believes it can use its new Servo engine to enable capabilities like mixed-reality ...

Wonder Woman 2 will hit theaters sooner than we expected

Image
Wonder Woman 2 has just been set to hit theaters November 1, 2019 a full six weeks earlier than the previously announced December 13, 2019 release date. No official reason was given for the change, but it probably has something to do with the fact that Disney has Star Wars: Episode IX set for December 20, 2019. And maybe also the fact that Thor: Ragnarok just did ginormous numbers in the corresponding weekend of this year. As of now, Wonder Woman has that November 1, 2019 release date all to itself though Fox has November 22, 2019 reserved for an as-yet-untitled Marvel movie. (Yeah, the superhero movie wave doesn't look like it's slowing down anytime soon.) Whatever the thought process behind this shift, we're not complaining. Patty Jenkins will return to direct Wonder Woman 2. Gal Gadot is expected to reprise the lead role, although a recent report suggested she might not return if producer Brett Ratner does. Gal Gadot won’t star in the Wonder Woman sequel un...

Nike new Midnight Fog edition of the Apple Watch Series 3

Image
Nike announced today that it’s releasing a limited edition Midnight Fog Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE that’s designed to match its upcoming Air VaporMax running shoes. The Watch will be available tomorrow at nike.com and in retail stores for $399, while the Air VaporMax will sell for $190 starting on November 24th. It’s the second time Nike’s released a special line of Apple Watch products alongside corresponding sneakers. Earlier this year, Nike released the Day to Night collection designed to match the VaporMax Flyknit shoes. It featured four different sport bands with perforated holes that you could purchase separately from the watch. It doesn’t look like there are plans to sell the Watch Band separately yet, so if you want a band that’s “deep greys with iridescent accents“ without buying a whole new Apple Watch, thankfully, there’s a cheaper solution. To the untrained eye (at least mine), there’s barely any difference between the Midnight Fog band and the Black Sport Loop...

Starbucks adds new holiday drinks, offers 2-for-1 deal

Image
Starbucks is kicking off its holiday season by offering two drinks for the price of one. From Thursday through Monday, customers who buy one holiday beverage get a second one free. The offer is valid only from 2-5 p.m. Two new holiday drinks have been added to the Starbucks menu this year, including a toasted white chocolate mocha and a chestnut praline chai tea latte. The Seattle-based beverage giant says the buy one, get one free offer is part of its "Give Good" campaign and encourages customers to share their extra drink with someone. It has used the event to launch its holiday offerings for several years. The offer comes on the heels of a lackluster fiscal fourth quarter, which ended Oct. 1, when revenue missed analysts' expectations. Despite trotting out long-time favorites such as fall's pumpkin spice latte and designing new drinks such as the unicorn Frappuccino, the chain is struggling with decaffeinated demand. This year's string of Gulf Coast hur...

Complete Harry Potter movies will land on HBO Go on January 1st

Image
The last Harry Potter movie came out in 2011, but in that time, the best way to relive the series has been to buy the movies outright or wait for an ABC Family (er, Freeform) marathon of the films; they’ve never really been available on any major streaming service in the US. Fortunately for Potter fans, that’ll be changing on January 1st, 2018, when all 8 Harry Potter films are coming to HBO Go and HBO Now for on-demand streaming, via Business Insider reporter Kim Renfro. HBO will also be marking the occasion by airing a straight marathon of all eight films (and Fantastic Beasts). The availability on HBO comes alongside a shift in the basic cable rights of the Potter films from Disney, which previously owned them, to NBCUniversal, which will be airing the films on SyFy and USA Network starting in 2018. The choice of HBO as the streaming home also makes sense, given that Harry Potter is a Warner Bros. property, and both HBO and Warner Bros. are owned by Time Warner cable. For the c...

‘American Idol’ Reboot Premiere Date Revealed

Image
The New “American Idol” will premiere on Sunday night, March 11 at 8 p.m., Ryan Seacrest announced on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” this morning. The ABC reboot features judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie and auditions have been taking place throughout the country for the last month. Seacrest returns as host of the series which launched his career back in 2002. ABC’s revival of the long-running Fox series was announced back in May. Perry was revealed to be a judge shortly after the deal at ABC was made, for a salary of $25 million, with Bryan’s announcement coming in September and Richie rounding out the panel shortly after. The network and producers had trouble filling out the show’s talent roster after signing Perry’s deal. Seacrest later struck a deal that gave him $15 million to host this season, and the Perry and Seacrest agreements left fewer than $10 million in the initial talent budget ABC laid out for the show. But Richie and ABC were finally able to com...

Watch : Fifty Shades Freed Trailer

Image
It appears that Mr. and Mrs. Grey’s honeymoon is short-lived. The first full Fifty Shades Freed trailer dropped on Monday, November 6, and teased that Anastasia and Christian’s life as newlyweds isn’t all wedded bliss. “Did you sleep with her?” a visibly upset Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) asks Christian (Jamie Dornan) in the video. Fans who did not read the books will have to wait until Valentines Day to find out the answer to that question. The jealously between the on-screen pair doesn’t stop there. Ana is threatened by the contractor Christian hires to build their house, Gia Matteo, played by Arielle Kebbel. “Please stop speaking to my husband as if I weren’t here,” Anastasia says to Gia. She adds, “Call me Mrs. Grey” when the new character calls her by her first name. The trailer features a new tagline “Don’t miss the climax” for the final installation, which picks up where 2017’s Fifty Shades Darker left off. The original film, Fifty Shades of Grey, based on the book ser...

Major internet outage hits the USA

Image
If you rely on Comcast for your internet service, you probably know that things are down in a big way for the provider. According to the consumer watchdog site DownDetector, there are more than 8,000 reports of outages across the US as of 1:00 PM ET on Monday. The site notes that the recent reports of outages mostly concern internet connectivity, not television or phone service, and mostly originate from areas like Mountain View, Denver, Portland, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Houston, San Francisco, the Bronx and Minneapolis. Comcast, a major owner of NBCUniversal, does business in 40 states and the District of Columbia. The company has confirmed the issues with its Xfinity internet service, and says that it is working on a fix. The company just tweeted attributing the outage to an "external network issue." We'll continue to update this post as more information becomes available. Update: As of about 3:30 PM ET, Comcast has said that its connectivity issues are...

Image
Jimmy Fallon mourned the death of his mom, Gloria Fallon, on Sunday, November 5, as Tonight Show tapings for the week were canceled. Today I lost my biggest fan,” the Saturday Night Live alum told us  in a statement. “On behalf of everyone at NBC, we extend our deepest condolences to Jimmy and all his family at this time of enormous loss,” the network said in a statement to Us on Sunday. “Our hearts go out to Jimmy and everyone else whose lives were so touched by Gloria Fallon’s love, kindness and support.” NBC added that Tonight Show tapings have been canceled for the week of November 6 to 10. As previously reported, Fallon’s mom died on Saturday, November 4, at a New York City hospital, just one day after he canceled a taping of his late-night talk show. A source told Us earlier on Saturday that “Jimmy comes from a very close-knit family, and together with his loved ones they are by her side right now.” Fallon, 43, spoke often about his mom and in May shared a story about ...

Image
It seems that The Lord of the Rings, the epic saga of Middle Earth and its inhabitants from J.R.R. Tolkien, may be getting the TV treatment. The project is being developed by Warner Bros. Television, and Amazon Studios has emerged as a potential buyer. Hobbit fans everywhere, rejoice! Amazon Studios has emerged as a potential buyer for the drama from Warner Bros. Television. The Lord of the Rings could be the next big TV adaptation. Warner Bros. Television, whose feature film counterpart produced the feature film series, is in preliminary stages of discussions for a potential TV series based on the J.R.R. Tolkien best-sellers. Amazon Studios, who has a new genre-focused push under company CEO Jeff Bezos, has emerged as a potential buyer. Amazon Studios and Warner Bros. Television declined comment. Netflix adds 4K streaming for Comcast Xfinity X1 users

Image
Netflix is adding 4K streaming to Comcast’s set-top box, the Xfinity X1. Now, Xfinity X1 users who have a 4K-capable device and a Netflix premium subscription can watch Netflix in 4K. Before the announcement, Netflix was already available for 4K streaming on most devices, including Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast Ultra, Roku, Sony TV, and more. The announcement comes at a curious time for Netflix, just as Stranger Things season 2 arrives and after the company pulls back on making further seasons of House of Cards. This October, Netflix also hiked prices for its premium plan from $11.99 a month to $13.99 a month. The availability of 4K Ultra HD TVs has increased dramatically, but the availability of native 4K content to watch, although increasing, has lagged behind. Fortunately, Netflix is offering a good deal of it via internet streaming. To take advantage of Netflix 4K streaming, you need the following:     The right TV     The right Netflix subsc...

Darkness rises in the latest teaser for Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Image
We’re getting closer and closer to the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and during Game 7 of the World Series Disney and Lucasfilm released yet another quick glimpse at the upcoming film. At this point in the hype cycle, every single new shot can be something to fawn over, and this trailer has a great one: Luke Skywalker stepping back into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. The rest of the spot covers some shots we’ve seen before, leaning heavily into some space combat with TIE Fighters and the Falcon. But it’s perhaps the last moment in the trailer that leaves the most chilling impression. “This is not going to go the way you think,” Luke Skywalker says while on the ground, in a shot we’ve seen before but then the trailer cuts to a grim-faced Rey, raising her lightsaber in what appears to be triumph over the Jedi Master. Is this the way the moment will actually play out in the film? Is this some editorial sleight-of-hand to make audiences wonder just how bad things are re...
